Dear Parishioners,
As a little boy I loved the stories of Our Lady of Fatima. I loved the film that told the story so well too. I embraced the rosary. Every night before going to bed we as a family knelt in the lounge-room and prayed the rosary – “the family that prays together stays together” – could it be that many families do not pray together? Its hard to believe – the story of Fatima is now one hundred years 1917 – 2017.
May 13, 1917 the First apparition of Our Lady of Fatima. The children Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta were asked to return to the site of the apparitions on the 13th day of each month for six months at the same hour.
Our Lady asked the children if they will offer all they have, to suffer for poor sinners; the children responded saying they will, to which Our Lady says they will have much to suffer, ‘but the grace of God will be with you and will strengthen you.’ Our Lady said, ‘ Say the Rosary every day, to bring peace to the world and an end to the war.’
